It's a Knockout! was British game show that started in 1966 on the BBC. Described as school sports day for adults, it featured teams representing a city or town who would score points depending on how well they completed a task.

The show was adapted with communities hosting the same challenges at their local fair.

The winning team would receive a It's a Knockout! trophy and the chance to represent the UK in the international version Jeux Sans Frontieres against other teams from across Europe.

Here we have collected a series of images from the It's a Knockout! themed competition in Thetford in 1974.
