The first homes are almost ready to be moved into in a 5,000-home development that will dramatically change a Norfolk town.
Keys to the first properties will be handed over next month at the first phase of the Thetford North Strategic Urban Extension (SUE) scheme, Kingsfleet development.
The 343-house Hopkins Homes development is the first phase.
Lee Barnard, sales and marketing director, said: "We are delighted to be creating the gateway to the wider Kingsfleet community, with a collection of 343 high-quality and sympathetically-designed houses in a variety of sizes and styles.
"Work to start building the first new homes began at the start of this year and we are very pleased with how the first phase is progressing.
"The first homes went on sale in the spring and more than 15 homes have already been reserved off-plan, demonstrating the demand and need for new homes in the area."
The initial build, which lies alongside the A11 dual carriageway on Norwich Road in Croxton, will see 51 affordable homes, with a mixture of houses and flats making up the remaining 292 homes.
Hopkins Homes marketing suite is open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm, where visitors can view the details and layouts of many of the properties and their first show home is due to launch on Saturday October 26.
Mr Barnard added: "We expect to be handing over the keys to the first properties during the next month and look forward to welcoming the first residents moving into their new dream home shortly after."
Pigeon obtained planning permission in 2016 for up to 5,000 homes, three primary schools, open space, significant employment areas, community and health care facilities.
James Buxton, executive chairman at Pigeon, said: "Pigeon is pleased that the first phase of housing is being developed by Hopkins Homes, which has a reputation for building high quality, well designed houses in landscaped surroundings.
"It is important that the first phase is developed to a high standard, and that standard will be maintained throughout the entire development. The infrastructure to serve the next phases of housing is also being installed, and further land will be released for development before the end of the year."
