Breckland residents must register to vote if they are to have their say at the polls on May 5, the district council is warning.
Figures published by the Office of National Statistics show that 97,422 people in Breckland are currently registered to vote in the district and parish elections and UK referendum on the voting system.
Electoral registration officer Mark Stokes said: “Anyone who has moved house in the past few months needs to register with their new address and we know there are many people in the Breckland Council area who have not yet registered to vote, which means they will be missing out unless they take action.”
Call 01362 656875 to request a registration form or print one at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk.
Residents planning to be away on May 5 can apply to vote by post or by proxy.
