Greater Anglia's giant hare made an appearance at Weeting Primary School on Tuesday as part of a project to engage children with local wildlife.
In partnership with Norfolk Wildlife Trust, 'care for the hare' education sessions are taking place at schools across the county to learn about this species and its habitat.
The giant animatronic hare, which uses puppetry and actors, surprised 25 reception and year one students, who then spent the day doing workshops, playing games, and getting stuck in with arts and crafts.
Isabelle Mudge, engagement officer at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, said: "This has been a fantastic opportunity to inspire children about Norfolk's special wildlife. They thought it was fantastic, there were happy faces and lots of smiles."
