Families with deaf children from across Norfolk are invited to a Regional Fun Day organised by the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) which will take place at High Lodge Visitor Centre in Thetford, Norfolk, on Sunday from 10.30am.

The Fun Day is a source of support for families with deaf children and helps them build a positive view of deafness. At this free of charge event parents with deaf children have the opportunity to meet other families and share knowledge and experiences of bringing up a deaf child.

Deaf children - and their brothers and sisters - can take part in a variety of activities suitable for all age groups including arts and craft sessions, mini-Olympics and giant family games. The NDCS Listening Bus will also be rolling in for deaf children to try out the latest technology to aid communication.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet a range of exhibitors who can provide them with the information on childhood deafness and pick up free NDCS publications. Local groups registered with NDCS and NDCS staff based in the area will talk about opportunities for support in East Anglia.
