Firefighters were dispatched after a blaze was reported in woods near a Suffolk holiday complex.

Firefighters were dispatched after a blaze was reported in woods near a Suffolk holiday complex.

The alarm was raised at 2.45pm on Sunday after flames were spotted in woods off the B1106 in the Brandon area. The B1106 is the road which leads to Center Parcs in Elveden.

When firefighters from Brandon, Thetford, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds arrived they found 300m sq of woods and undergrowth on fire. They used water hoses, water fogs and specialist breathing equipment to fight back the fire.
