Fight to keep ballpark open

Local people are being urged to help keep the Thetford Community Ballpark open.

The Thetford Community Association has been fighting to secure enough money to keep the ballpark open and needs support to ensure the project's survival.

The Thetford Community Association has been fighting to secure enough money to keep the ballpark open and needs support to ensure the project's survival.

It is awaiting a decision from the Football Foundation about a funding application submitted which was bring in around £10,000 to provide football training sessions at the ballpark and help contribute to running costs.

The association is holding its annual meeting on Monday, from 6pm at Redcastle Community Centre.
