A motorist died after the Ford Galaxy vehicle he was driving left the road and hit a tree at Brookville, near Brandon, early this morning .
The driver of the vehicle died at the scene and his male passenger suffered serious injuries.
The accident happened on the B1112 road at 12.15am.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the manner of driving of the black-coloured vehicle before the collision with the tree.
