A Thetford school celebrated success in the arts as a selection of students received some important results.

Drama pupils from Thetford Grammar School heard from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) about exams taken before Christmas.

Highest qualifications went to Holly Day and Margaret Bohn who achieved a pass with distinction at level three in an acting duologue for their Silver Classification.

This is one level below the highest LAMDA can award. Both students plan to sit the gold award next year.

Other pupils who did well were Simon Waddell who achieved a pass with merit at level two, acting a solo piece for grade five, while Chloe Fox and Hannah Yager both achieved a pass with merit in their level three examination for acting in a duologue at grade six.

Year 11 students, Reeve Manning, Lucie Ross and Matthew Sibley all succeeded in their level two and three awards, while year seven pupil Cecily White stood out in her first exam for the school.

The most notable success was that of year six student Amelia Perry who took her first LAMDA exam and achieved her level one grade with merit.
