DOVES have been announced as the latest band to line up for Thetford Forest's summer of music.

Last year, they released their long-awaited, critically acclaimed fourth album Kingdom of Rust, which entered the album charts at number two.

Their debut album Lost Souls (2000) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was followed up by their subsequent chart-topping albums The Last Broadcast (2002) and Some Cities (2005).

Doves' Jimi Goodwin said: “It was great experience playing to a sold-out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010.”

Doves will be performing at Thetford Forest on Saturday, June 12. Tickets cost 28 (subject to booking fee) and go on sale at 9am on Friday from the Forestry Commission box office - call 01842 814612, online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music or over the counter from the venue.
