Crowds gathered at the Carnegie Rooms in Thetford on Saturday for a night of 1940s fun laid on by the Friends of Thetford Dad's Army Museum.

The evening was a sell-out and everyone enjoyed the great atmosphere, which was present right from the start.

The dance floor was packed all night and 1940s music was provided by Mustang Squadron and Texas Tommy. The mix of dancing talent ranged from the enthusiastic to the really accomplished and many enjoyed the music and the amazing display put on by dance instructor Esther and her team.

Esther received many requests to bring her dance classes to the town and the Friends are looking into the possibility of running a Sunday 1940s dance class.
