PEOPLE are being urged to come forward to offer football coaching to youngsters.

The Thetford Community Association, which coordinates the delivery of football coaching, has held sessions twice a week since March on the Redcastle Estate in the town.

Between 25 and 35 regular attend, and most are aged from 10 to 15-years-old.

Terry Jermy, project co-ordinator said: “The sessions have been going fantastically well and there is clearly a demand for this sort of activity.

“We want to make sure we can keen up with demand so want more interested people on board to ensure we can deliver as many sessions as possible.”

The association was awarded funding earlier this year from the Football Foundation and Norfolk Community Foundation to deliver football coaching at the community ballpark on the estate.

The coaches would be employed for a few hours per week by the Thetford Community Association and paid for the hours they undertake.
