THE Thetford community has rallied round to support the town's football club with ongoing improvements.

Three businesses have come forward to help Thetford Independents Football Club including Jackstone Freezing Systems which donated funds for new pitches, Peerless Plastics and Coatings for discounted glazing, and Topps Tiles for tiles and adhesives.

Director of Jackstone Freezing Systems, Mick Skipp, said: “We're only too pleased to help Thetford Independents when they said they needed assistance with their new facilities, we feel these young boys and girls are the future of local companies and Thetford as a town.

“The more support local companies can give local organisations like this the better facilities and future there is for the local youth and Thetford as a town.”

Work continues on the site of the club at Kilverstone, which includes four pitches, new changing rooms, toilets and a club house.

Club chairman Dave Skipp thanked the businesses for their help.

Anyone who can help the club should contact Dave Skipp on 07749 219071.
