MORE than 100 vintage cars descended on a country estate to help raise funds for a lifesaving charity.
Rolls Royce, Daimler, and Bentley enthusiasts from across the country took part in the first classic car rally at the Elveden Estate, near Thetford, on Sunday .
Owner Lord Iveagh also revved up his own Rolls Royce Windovers Shooting Brake that dates back to the 1920s for the event organised by the East Anglian division of the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club
All proceeds and donations will go towards the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which is the estate's nominated charity.
Frances Armstrong, estate spokeswoman, said the cars had prompted a lot of interest and she hoped the rally could become an annual event.
“We have had car rallies before, but not Rolls Royce, which are really impressive. The estate provides a really nice backdrop for these cars,” she said.
