SCOUTERS from across south-west Norfolk gathered at Two Mile Bottom to rededicate the Scout campsite memorial chapel.

The original chapel was put up in 1982 in memory of Rae Parish from the 2nd Thetford Scout Group, who died at a very early age. Earlier in the year the Parish family were approached to seek permission for the old chapel to be refurbished and re-sited. This work was carried out by the South-West Norfolk Activities Fellowship.

The rededication service was conducted by the Rev Peter Farrow from St Leonard's Church in Mundford. The new memorial was unveiled by Reg Parish, Rae's father. The event was witnessed by the Parish family, senior Scouters from the county, the district team and civic leaders.

Afterwards Cubs from Methwold, Downham Market and Thetford planted 300 crocus bulbs around the re-sited memorial.
