CENTER Parcs was announced as the winner of an award which recognised its green way of working.

The company, which has a site in Elveden, near Thetford, was seen as achieving environmental sustainability and implementing smart business practice.

As a result it took home the Green Business Award for Biodiversity Protection at the “Green Globes” on Tuesday.

The category also measured company leadership in enhancing and safeguarding habitats.

Chartered landscape architect, Mark Waller, accepted the award and said: “Protecting the natural forest environment has always been a fundamental part of our philosophy.

“For over 20 years we have carefully monitored all the species on our sites and will continue to protect and enhance the biodiversity of our forest for many years to come.”
