Officers are warning car owners to be vigilant after a series of vehicles were broken into overnight.

Police in Breckland issued the warning to those in the Banham and Kenninghall area after a number of calls relating to cars being broken into.

A spokesman said: "We are aware of reports of vehicles being broken into overnight in Banham and Kenninghall areas and would like to take this opportunity to remind you to remain vigilant.

You may also want to watch:

"If you have any information, including CCTV, which may help our investigations, please call us on 101."

Police estimate it can take less than 30 seconds for a thief to steal something from a car.

They advise keeping vehicles locked with an alarm and not leaving valuables in sight or taking them out of the car.

They also say to choose parking spaces carefully in well lit areas or in a garage.
