ALMOST 30 budding politicians will travel to London to visit the country's political hub.
The students from Forest Heath Youth Forum and Newmarket Youth Council have joined forces and will head to Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament, as well as visiting the 2010 Olympic Park.
Later in the year the youngsters will also meet their MP and learn more about the role.
Simon Flack, member champion for Children and Young People at Forest Heath District Council, which organised the visit, said: “This trip is a great opportunity for the young people of the Forest Heath District Council Youth Forum and Newmarket Youth Council to experience the locations where democracy and government takes place.
“This is an opportunity that doesn't come around very often and will not only benefit the individual young people but their schools and communities in the longer term.”
