BRANDON will have poppies this Remembrance Sunday after a new volunteer co-ordinator came forward.
Fears were raised earlier this year that Brandon could be left poppyless after the town's Poppy Appeal organiser for the last 34 years decided to retire.
But Erica Sayer, community fundraiser for the Royal British Legion scheme, said the town will be getting its poppies and wreathes next month after a woman from Feltwell came forward to take over from former coordinator Bill Turner.
More than £6,000 was raised in Brandon last year through the Poppy Appeal, which honours the sacrifices made by Britain's military servicemen and women.
