A new festival is set to bring a Norfolk town together with a host of community events.
Brandon Festival, on the Norfolk-Suffolk border, is a free family event set to take place across three days from Friday, July 26 on Market Hill.
Supported by Brandon Town Council it will host a number of entertainers and games for families to take part in.
One of the organisers Katy Loxton said the aim is to bring Brandon together. She hopes that the event will prove popular enough to become a staple in Brandon's calender of summer events.
She said: "Although it's the first year we hope to bring the community together.
"It's following on from an event that used to run in the 1990s and this is about trying to get more people out in the community and create a real community summer party.
"We just want people to come and enjoy what Brandon has to offer, meet people and the companies in the town."
Already announced for the festival is magician Jake Ace, a roller skating rink on Saturday, July 27 and friendly competitions including a tug of war and wheelbarrow racing.
As well as this a number of stalls from local businesses have been announced that will be serving food and showing their produce.
Ms Loxton added: "We really hope it will get more people going to the high street and meet the local businesses like the butchers, bakers and hairdressers.
"It's the first year doing this and it gives us a chance to get a number of people who want to be involved.
"We recently had a biker bash and open gardens - it was really great having people walking around the high street and you see people of all ages talking.
"The festival will have something for sorts of people together and enjoy with activities for all the family."
The festival will be free with payment only required to take part in activities and to purchase items from stalls.
