A tug of war and a best dressed pet competition still went ahead at a town festival, although organisers say the bad weather led to a "disappointing" turnout.
The committee behind Brandon Festival had planned to hold a wide variety of events including a car boot, live music, a fairground and face painting, however many stallholders and a large number of car booters pulled out due to the rain.

Despite the weather, a number of events went ahead as planned including the best dressed pet competition and tug of war.
The tug of war was won by Brandon fire brigade, while the best dressed pet competition was won by a tortoise dressed in a spider costume.
John Maxim, of the Brandon Festival planning committee, said: "It's been disappointing, we had some enthusiastic people here, but the weather has beaten us, it's just very disappointing."
