TEENAGERS in Thetford have been recruited by police to take part in an exchange program with a Dereham sports and activities scheme.
A group of young people will enjoy a range of activities during weekly trips to the Kickz programme based at Dereham Recreation Ground.
The project helps people aged 13 to 19 to engage with their community by getting them involved in football coaching, basketball, street dance and educational workshops tackling health issues.
The young people are also warned of the dangers of falling into petty crime.
Thetford Safer Neighbourhood Team has organised transport for the group, who will get to meet new people and focus their attention on positive activities.
Thetford Sgt Tracey Fox said: “We hope the programme will encourage them to take part and improve their skills in a number of sporting activities.
