AN exclusive tasting event of Guinness Black Lager at the Elveden Estate revealed a positive response from most drinkers.
Visitors to the estate's lager festival arrived from as far afield as Wiltshire and enjoyed the opportunity to try a different version of the black stuff.
Currently on secret trial in Northern Ireland and Malaysia, a number of cases of Black Lager were secured for exclusive sampling at the Elveden Estate.
It is the first time Guinness has moved into the lager market and there is still the possibility it may never reach the shelves and could become a valuable collector's item.
Marcus Croker from Thetford said it was: “A refreshing drink that will be good for the summer; a great after-taste.”
While John Chapman from Mundford described it as: “Very pleasant and quite moreish.”
