A care home is celebrating an incredibly successful year by inviting people to join them on Christmas Day for a delicious lunch.

The Beeches Residential Care Home in East Harling is opening its doors on what can be the loneliest day of the year for some to single people over 65 to tuck in to a Christmas lunch.

Loreta Moss, the home manager, said: “We hope that we will be able to bring a Christmas to those who would otherwise be on their own.

“It’s our opportunity to say thank you to the community who supports the home throughout the year.”

In July, The Beeches faced an unannounced Care Quality Commission inspection and earned the rating of outstanding, becoming the first ever residential home in Norfolk to do so.

The judges said: “Loreta is a role model for anyone who aspires to be a first-class professional in care.

“She demonstrated great leadership qualities evidenced by an outstanding rating from the CQC in a recent inspection.

“She is an inspiration to her team.”

Christmas lunch at The Beeches is free of charge and the home will be able to help with travel arrangements in the local area.
