Arrest after street fight in Brandon

A man has been arrested following a fight outside a Brandon pub where another man suffered an eye injury.Detectives are appealing for information following the altercation between the two men, which happened outside the Five Bells public house on Market Hill between 9.

A man has been arrested following a fight outside a Brandon pub where another man suffered an eye injury.

Detectives are appealing for information following the altercation between the two men, which happened outside the Five Bells public house on Market Hill between 9.30pm and 10pm last night .

A 42-year-old man from Brandon was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has been released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds police station on September 8.

Police are asking for anyone who saw the incident or may have information that will assist the investigation to contact Det Insp Steve Denham at Bury St Edmunds police station on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
