HE has introduced a bit of Mediterranean magic in to the Center Parcs village at Elveden, near Thetford.

And renowned Italian chef Aldi Zilli was joined by about 70 guests - including TV presenter Linda Barker - as he officially opened the new Zilli Café in the Aqua Sana complex.

It can seat about 100 people and people will be able to enjoy the theatre of having fresh pasta prepared in front of them.

The menu ranges from lobster ravioli to foccacia filled with goat's cheese and also Aldo's own tiramisu.

He launched a café at the Longleat Forest park last year and Center Parcs chief executive Martin Dalby said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a highly respected chef as Aldo.”

Aldo said: “My first visit to Center Parcs was with my family and I was really blown away by the experience. It was an extremely well organised and sophisticated holiday and I particularly loved my trips to the spas. I'm thrilled to be providing a healthy Mediterranean diet for everyone visiting the spas.”
