The A1088 in Ixworth is blocked at the Troston turning after a lorry has crashed.
Police were called at 12.04pm after a lorry was reported to have tried turning in the road but got stuck.
The lorry is understood to be at right angles, possibly stuck in a ditch.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the road was blocked in both directions as a result, with work underway to attempt to drag the lorry away.
A tractor was used to pull the truck out of the ditch a short time later.
