A café and bakery that opened this year has announced a one-night-only dessert night that will leave taste buds tingling - all for under £5!

Sapphire's Café and Bakery opened in Mildenhall in September after 29-year-old Yasmin Whybrow fulfilled her lifelong dreams and opened her own shop in Mill Street.

The highly-anticipated opening saw people queuing outside the shop before Miss Whybrow arrived at work that morning.

Now, with the nights drawing in and the popularity of the café going from strength to strength, Sapphire's has announced a one-off late-night opening dessert event.

"Finally, we are all set for our first hot dessert night," said Ms Whybrow on the café's social media.

"Unfortunately we won't have our usual stall on Merry Mildenhall this year, but instead, we're going to be open LATE on Thursday with the perfect thing to warm you up ... DESSERTS!

"Brownies, Blondies and Puddings will be £4.95 per portion, served with your choice of custard or ice cream and choice of sauce, and our waffles and pancakes will be as per usual menu price.

"We'll still be serving hot drinks, cakes and snacks and offering a comfy place to take a breath from the madness."

Diners will be able to enjoy a range of British classics, including apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake until 8pm on Thursday, December 7.

Brownies, blondies, waffles and pancakes will all be available to enjoy throughout the evening too.

Those interested do not need to book in advance but might want to move quickly to get a seat and a treat before they are all gone.
