The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Norfolk this weekend.

The warning is in place from 5pm tonight (December 1) until 10am tomorrow (December 2).

This follows two days of warnings for snow and ice after cold air from Scandinavia caused temperatures across the east began to plummet.

The organisation is urging people to be careful and to expect icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

People should also expect delays on roads and railways due to the icy conditions.

The Met Offices is urging precaution and advising people to plan ahead, allow for extra time, as well as check on elderly relatives and neighbours in the cold.
