A Norfolk branch of Aldi is gearing up to reopen later this week following a refurbishment.

The Thetford supermarket, located in Lime Kiln Lane, shut to customers on Saturday, October 14 2023 for a revamp.

The transformation is part of Aldi’s £600m investment into improving its stores and services across the UK.

The new-look Thetford store has more space dedicated to British meat and fish, Lacura health and beauty products, award-winning beers, wines and spirits and Mamia babycare products.

There is also a new and improved ‘Food to Go’ section, offering salads, sandwiches and sushi.

The format has been created to make shopping easier, including clearer signs, bread and cakes moved to the last aisle and new freezers.

The store employs 27 people and the refurbishment has created five additional jobs.

It will reopen to customers on Thursday, October 26 at 8am.

Tom Woods, store manager, said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves."

Aldi Thetford is open 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
