A new sweet treat store is opening in Thetford after online sales went from "strength to strength".

UK Candy Man is opening a permanent food trailer at the Mercury Park industrial estate.

The business started as an online sweet shop during the coronavirus lockdowns but will move into its new home today (September 29).

Justin Scarff, who owns the business, said: "We outgrew the space that we had before and the catering trailer became available.

"We've gone from strength to strength and even given the economy we've still come out on top."

UK Candy Man sells cakes and other confectionaries and is now branching out into serving hot food such as burgers and loaded fries.

Mr Scarff added: "We wanted to sell things that we couldn't get in Thetford and bring the seaside home.

"The business has gotten so big so quickly.

"I'd like to keep our repeat customers happy and provide an all-round excellent service to them."
