A pub-restaurant in north Suffolk has announced it will close at the end of the month.
The Smokehouse at The Chequers in Eriswell, between Mildenhall and Lakenheath, confirmed the news in a social media post.
It said: "We are devastated to have to announce this but we will be shutting our doors for the last time on February 26, 2023.
"I’d like to thank all of our loyal customers for all your support, we have had many issues going on which hasn’t helped us.
"All we can say is please support your local pubs. They need you."
The closure comes after a number of Suffolk pubs shut their doors at the start of the year, including The Swan in Monks Eleigh and The Cock in Little Thurlow.
