A group of youngsters released almost 400 balloons into the air as they celebrated the role of story books.
Norwich Road Primary pupils in Thetford sent 370 of the brightly-coloured objects soaring into the sky.
A book token will be given to the child whose balloon goes the furthest, and to the person who finds it.
Reception teacher and community liaison, Robin Sewell, said: “It went really well - one or two of them let the balloons of early but it was a good day. “There was a lot of noise and excitement and the whole school was out there and because it was our book day we were all dresses up as well”
