Members of Axminster Drama Club were delighted after one of its productions won a regional National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) award
The club’s production of Cash on Delivery won the award for best comedy.
It also had two other nominations for last year’s panto, Puss in Boots.
It was nominated for the June Barker Memorial Cup for best pantomime and the Wilfred Roe Trophy for best stage décor.
Jack Price, Leigh Conley, Jackie Demkiw and Heather White attended the awards night on behalf of the club.
Mr Price said: “We were so pleased to be nominated but even more chuffed to have won one of the three awards.
“There are 187 societies in the South West and to win best comedy is a huge success considering most societies do at least two shows per year.”
