A teenage woman was assaulted by two men in broad daylight leaving her with a split lip and scratches to her face and stomach.

The 17-year-old was walking down an alleyway near The Charles Burrell Centre, Staniforth Road, Thetford at about 12.30pm when she was approached by two men wearing black.

They then attacked her, punching her in the face and grabbing her but were disturbed by passers-by and fled the scene.

A police spokesman said: "A second woman entered the area which disturbed the duo causing them to flee.

"Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting the crime reference number 36/56921/19."
