More than £100,000 will be spent resurfacing a road which will be shut for at least three days.
Melford Bridge Road in Thetford which runs between Castle Street and Magdalen Street, is a popular cut-through for drivers but will shut from Monday, February 25.
The entirety of the road will be shut to drivers, but access to businesses and properties will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time, with a fully signed diversion in place.
The work will cost £118,000 in total and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s community and environment services department and contractors.
It is funded through the extra £12.694m County Hall received from central government to spend on road maintenance in 2018/19.
A spokesman from the council said: “The County Council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to
replace the existing damaged road surface are carried out.”
