A man was arrested for the theft of more than £10,000 worth of goods after police caught him jumping a red light.
Beat manager PC Busfield stopped a van which went through a red light at the Thickthorn roundabout on the edge of Norwich on Sunday and discovered that the vehicle was stolen, being driven on false plates and the driver had no licence or insurance.
The vehicle was seized and the driver was arrested.
It was also discovered upon later inspection that he was wanted by police on suspicion of theft following an incident in October 2023 in which £12,000 worth of building material was stolen from a property in Great Plumstead.
The man was released on police bail with conditions.
