This video is of 20-year-old Ed, from Framlingham in Suffolk, performing You Need Me I Don’t Need You. The footage of the former Next Big Thing winner was recorded at the studios in either 2009 or 2010 and lasts nearly six minutes.

The Suffolk musician made a name for himself gigging on the Norwich music circuit, and won Norwich’s Next Big Thing competition which was sponsored at the time by the Evening News.

Since then he has enjoyed a succession of profile-raising EPs, and his No 1 debut album ‘+’ released last September has been a continuous fixture in the album charts and returned to the No 1 position at the beginning of 2012.

He will be performing at Thetford Forest this summer as part of Forestry Commission Live Music. Tickets for the gig were sold out within 25 minutes.

Epic studios has just been bought from Norfolk County Council by a Norwich-based TV production company.
