THE Legends returned to the football pitch on Sunday – as stars from Spurs lined up against former favourites from Norwich in an entertaining encounter.

In wet conditions throughout, The Journal Challenge Trophy was keenly contested at Crown Meadow on Sunday, as the likes of Mark Falco, Tony Galvin and Ruel Fox were part of the successful Spurs Legends team that beat Norwich Legends, including Iwan Roberts, Darren Huckerby, Dale Gordon, Darren Eadie, Rob Newman, Leon McKenzie and Paul McVeigh, 4-3.

The previous night Gordon, McVeigh, McKenzie, Galvin, Falco, John Lacy and Gary Brooke were part of a successful evening of entertainment at the Winelodge function room in Oulton Broad as a Premiership Dinner was held.

Roy Hodgson has quit after England were knocked out of Euro 2016 after losing 2-1 to Iceland in their round-of-16 match in Nice.
