The 49th Weeting Steam Engine Rally and Country Show is taking place this weekend

Farming implements from a bygone age, heavy horses and motorbike shows are just some of the things to see at the popular Weeting Steam Engine Rally and Country Show this weekend.
Now in its 49th year the show, held at Fengate Farm, Weeting, near Brandon, is a fun day out for all the family with lots to see and do.
The event kicked-off yesterday and will continue until tomorrow afternoon with parades of steam traction engines, steam lorries, vintage tractors, heavy horse and fire engines.
There are working steam-powered farmyard machines, a full-sized steam train, a model steam train and small steam models.
Vintage cars and classic cars, motorbikes, stationary engines, military vehicles are also on show with many exhibits.
In the main ring you will find Flying Ryan’s Motorcycle Stunt show, with two different performances a day.
There will also be heavy horse displays while over in the small ring, people can watch the art of chainsaw carving and Gundog training displays, along with the exhibits from around the rally field parading throughout the day.
The show is open until 5pm today and from 10am until 5pm tomorrow.
Tickets for Sunday are £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and children under 16 are free.
