She already has a taste for a treats – but the biggest treat of all would be a permanent new home.

One-year-old terrier cross Maisy is currently staying at Dogs Trust’s Snetterton rehoming centre.

A spokesman for the charity said she is “looking to be the only pet in the home so she can get all the attention she needs”.

The spokesman added: “She’s very clever and will need her owners to keep her mentally and physically occupied.

“She will enjoy further training with her new adopters – especially if there are tasty treats involved!

“This independent lady may need some time to build a bond with a new owner but will become a loyal friend for life.

“She would benefit from further help with her basic training.

“Maisy may be small but she’s got a lot to give – can you give her the love she needs?”
