A broken-down vehicle on the A11 has resulted in long delays for motorists caught up in queues of more than three miles..

The disruption had initially been thought to be caused by overnight roadworks over-running.

But it has emerged that a works van involved in the works has broken down at Spooner Row, near Wymondham, and needs to be towed away.

The breakdown means traffic is being diverted up and over a slip road at Spooner Row, resulting in long delays.

Motorists heading away from Norwich towards Thetford on the A11 have been warned to expect that more than an hour will be added to their journey time with queues of more than three and a half miles already formed.
