Motorists travelling through Diss will face disruptions as traffic lights and road closers are put in place.

There will be no access from Frenze Hall Lane to Walcot Green and Sandy Lane from January 22 for eight weeks.

The work is being completed by the Norfolk County Council to increase the roads width to six meters.

As well as this, traffic lights will be installed between Frenze Hall Lane and Sandy Lane, under the rail bridge making it single lane.

This is due to work to extend the pavement along Frenze Hall Lane, under the bridge, to Sandy Lane.

Signed diversions will be in place throughout the works.

The County Council says the road closures are necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of works on the site and thanks residents for their patience while this improvement work is carried out.

The work is part of recent improvements to drainage on Frenze Hall Lane.
