Elveden school raises hundreds for charity

12 November 2009

A SUFFOLK school with just 46 children has raised hundreds of pounds towards their learning.

Governors of Elveden Primary School held a Pampered Chef evening with demonstrations of vegetable lasagne and a pecan dessert.

Members of the audience were invited to help prepare the food and a sample of both was given to everybody to try.

There was also a grand raffle with winners able to chose from donated prizes or a voucher.

Chairman of governors, Sarah Rodwell, said £550 was raised and added: “We were overwhelmed by the generous support from local businesses which heard about Elveden and wanted to help.

“We are a small school and are so pleased such a big event could be a success. We are so grateful for the support shown.”
