Shape up at Thetford boot camps
11 March 2010
PEOPLE in Thetford can shape up at a military-style boot camp designed to improve fitness.
As part of the Thetford Healthy Town project, Combat Boot Camp will be running training sessions across the town over the coming months, including free sessions sponsored by the project.
Anyone looking to change their attitude to their fitness and nutrition is invited to attend one of the sessions and increase their fitness levels.
Delivered by ex-forces PTI instructors, who have trained in all conditions across the world, the instructors will push participants to new levels of fitness using training skills adapted from military techniques. Fun, but hard work, the sessions are ideal for anyone between the ages of 16-80, male or female, fit or otherwise.
Not for the faint hearted, the camps encourage major inch and weight loss, dropping a dress size and moving the individual into a healthier way of exercising and eating; which will ultimately help them to improve their health regime.
The Combat Boot Camp team includes professionals from the Army and Navy with experience in running boot camps. Lead trainer Ronnie Hughes is a former leading Physical Training Instructor of HM Royal Navy.
The free introductory sessions, sponsored by Thetford Healthy Town are limited to 20 per session and will run on the following days:
Wednesday, March 17, 10am-noon, women only, Thetford leisure centre
Wednesday, March 17, 1pm-3pm, men only, Thetford leisure centre
